UBand, the revolutionary wearable access credential from Brady People ID, gets even more accessible today as Brady People ID announces the release of UBand with proximity technology, opening the door for wearable access in a number of additional markets.
Formerly only available with MIFARE technology, UBand is a silicone rubber wristband that contains an internal MIFARE or proximity chip. This chip allows the wristband to be programmed to perform the same functions as a smart or proximity card. This usability combines with the convenience of the wearable to create a powerful access or smart solution.
UBand can be used as a complementary accessory in an identification solution that requires visual verification or as a replacement of access or smart cards in situations where photo ID cards aren’t necessary.
Proximity technology is the most commonly used technology format in access control systems, opening up hundreds of new areas of opportunity for our partners. Partners will find proximity technology in use in healthcare, education, corporate environments and more, making UBand a broadly relevant item.
Our UBand with proximity technology uses the most common proximity technology formats, ensuring compatibility with most common card readers. UBand’s proximity technology is also compatible with many HID®-brand proximity formats, meaning your customers can use UBand as a direct replacement for HID®-brand proximity cards in many cases.
UBand with proximity technology is available in blue or black and in three wrist circumference sizes (6″, 7″, 8″). Custom colors and graphics are available, with longer lead times and higher minimum order quantities required.
